We're going to the BAHAMAS!!!!

Okay Jon- I am now officially excited!

So Jon found an incredible deal on a cruise for us to the Bahama Islands. And it seems to work out perfectly--- my sister Peggy lives abt 40minutes away from the port and can watch the kids for us (hey Peggy- can you babysit for a few days?).
We've never been on a cruise.. we had hoped to for our honeymoon but sadly that didn't work out and we've j ust never been in a good location or position to do it. But lives too short right?

Happy 8yrs!

I meant to post about this yesterday but welll.. I spaced out a bit. So better late than never.
Yesterday was not only Cinco De Mayo.. or my brother Garys birthday but it was also the 8yr anniversary of my receiving my temple endowments as well as the 8yr anniversary of getting engaged to Mr H.

I was planning on going on a mission. In fact, I had did pretty much everything I needed to go turn my mission papers in. The only thing holding me back was my iron levels... which were dangerously low at the time and had I tried to turn my papers in with those numbers, they would have turned it down. So I had to wait a month to work to get my iron up. In the mean time, I met Mr H. Meeting him changed everything!! I fell for him reallly fast with the guy. But regardless, because we weren't committed to anything permanent at that time, I decided to move forward with my mission plans. We had talked about marriage but he agreed to support whatever I decided to do and would wait for me. This was also around the time the prophet had said that if a woman had the chance to get married, they should do that and not turn it down to serve a mission. That put things in perspective for both of us. Anyways I decided to still go to the temple because I felt I was ready and whether I got engaged or whether I went on a mission- I needed to go to the temple. So Jon came down from California (this was technically our 2nd date) to be there with me. Well without boring you any further, he proposed that day. So needless to say, I didn't go on a mission but my life did change and for the better. We were then married 3 months later.. we don't waste anytime!

So Happy 8yr Engagement Anniversary Mr H!

First trip to the Aquarium

I have to apologize first because these pics aren't in order... sorry about that. But after almost 3yrs of living here in GA, we finally made our first trip to the Atlanta Aquarium. It's not cheap by any means but the kids really liked it and so it was worth the visit. We were fortunate to have grammy, Aunt Peggy (my sister) her husband Dwight and baby Jonah as well as my brother Uncle Gary with us. It was a fun weekend and very nice to have company.
Who wouldn't want their pic with a ton of Nemos?
And a big ol scary penguin?

This fish was a trip.. he just would stare at us!

yeah opps this pic needs turned.. oh well. Reese was petting something weird.

I didn't like these guys so much but you could pet them too!

Think of the kiddos!!

I got this email from my good HS friend Blanche and I wanted to spread the word. Plus she is sending me some fabulous chocolate covered cinnamon bears so donating and passing along the info is the LEAST I could do!!!

From Blanche:
I'm getting "locked up" for good. I need to make $1200 in bail before I can be released. They're gonna "arrest" me on May 21st and I don't even have $500 yet! So pitch in $10 please - more if you can, and tell all your friends who like kids - especially kids in wheelchairs.
Here is the link :

You know I can't pass up a bargain!!!

Okay so I'm making up for my lack of posting...

Savings Fail funny picture

I promise I will get to it..

I have been meaning to blog about my families visit last week.... but my camera for some reason won't load on the computer. I think the problem is that I just need to reboot the laptop but well- I'm kinda lazy. So it'll have to wait. Doesn't make sense I know!

Anyways they did come. We had mom, Gary, Peggy, Dwight and baby Jonah here for a weekend. We definately made the most of our time with the Atlanta aquarium and then a picnic at the lake. We had a great time and enjoyed the company very much.

All is well in our house. 1 more month until school is out and that really has been throwing me for a loop! I'm defintely not ready for it but like it or not, summer is coming and the kids are growing!

Happy Sunday all!!
