Todays Outing.. Centennial Park

Today I really wanted to get the kids out of the apartment. So after we went to get Reeses physical for school and finish getting him registered to start 1st grade in a few weeks, I decided to google fun places in Nashville. Centennial Park came up and looked pretty cool and since everything seems to be 20minutes away from us, off we went!
There's a big fun play area where we had lunch and the kids played for a little bit. There was hardly anywhere for me to sit and do nothing like I usually like to do at parks so after awhile, we went walking around...
The kids found a big fish and had to play on it. They took turns "driving"... however one would drive a huge fish.

Reese came up with this new picture pose.. funny kid. Here's the duck pond we walked around and of course they complained the whole time. Reese was too hot, Rielly got a blister...blah blah blah

The pose again... Here's the Parthenon (click for more info). It's pretty HUGE and awesome to walk around!

Another pic of the Parthenon. Wow my camera took a pretty good picture!!!

And just a picture of the trees and pond behind. We only got to see a portion of the park but there's a lot of cool statues and grass and someday when its not too hot and when Riellys has tennis shoes on, we may have to come and check it out some more!

Moving Day... it's Moving Day

The day had come.. moving day. OIY!!!!!!!
I posted a little bit about it on an earlier blog but here's a few pics to document our adventure. My good friend Meredith came that morning and took some pics for me. Her husband Travis was kind enough to come along to Tennessee with us to help unload and then drive back that night. We will miss our dear friends!!!

Our family in front of our very first home on Eagle Dr in Woodstock, GA. We will miss it so much!

Me and Meredith... so many people have said we look related. Sisters even. Nope-- just real good friends!

So what?!?! I'm still a rockstar!!

All of our worldly posessions are in the back of this truck.

Nasa, Disney, Hollywood...OHMY (finally)

So it's about time I blogged about the rest of the our Floriday vacation wouldn't you say????

Well right after we got back from the cruise I blogged about, Peggy picked us up at the port and we went straight to the Kennedy Space Center. My brother in law works for NASA so it only seemed appropriate to check out the whole NASA gig.

Right as we got into the space center
the kids moving around the constellations (I think thats what this was..?)

A cool replica of a space shuttle

Out in the distance is the shuttle that was supposed to go up into space the next day... but of course was postponed.

The NASA building.. apparently it's pretty massivly huge!

The kids walking underneath a moon shuttle

In front of an astronauts suit
The next day, we met up with Jons dad and step-mom who flew in from Virginia to go to Disneyworld with us. This was the first time for all of us to go.. very exciting. And might I say.. VERY hot!!!

We're super excited to get this party started!!!

and of course, we HAD to see the parade and most importantly, Cinderella!!

The kids aren't enjoying the heat very much

no.. not at all!!!

But I got them to stand in front of some bell that I think is significant somehow...

Yeah we were already burnt from our cruise.. this heat didn't help tooo much

Grandpa and Grandma with Reese and Rielly in the nice cool Small World

and we HAD to go on the carousel.. which is a classic favorite of mine!

The kids enjoyed it too!

Darn.. they're not royalty. Couldn't get the sword out of the stone

Rielly in front of Cinderellas castle!

And we rode the tea cups. They always seem to make me a little queezy!

But Jon tortured us anyways by spinning and hauling some major bootay!

And then the rain came. Not the most flattering picture but just goes to show we were STILL smiling!

And right before we left, we got this cool profile picture of our family made. We just sat there and the guy cut our profiles out.

Our last Disney day, we decided to go to Hollywood Studios. The shows there were pretty cool. Definately not as fun as the Magic Kingdom but the kids enjoyed Star Wars (OF COURSE), Indiana Jones and all the other shows we got to see. Again, another VERY hot day!

Ready to brave another long day!

Can you really come here without getting a picture under the big MickeyMouse hat?!?!

Here it is again.. pretty stinkin HUGE

And we saw JoJo and Goliath right before going into the playhouse Disney show

And like I said.. we had to spend quite a bit of time around Star Wars.

That night, we also went to an Arabian Horse Show which was pretty cool-- the pictures didn't come out very well but they put you in a big stadium and while you ate, you watched them reinact a story on horses.
The trip was awesome... it was great spending time together as a couple and as a family and also being able to spend time with my sister Peggy, her husband Dwight and baby Jonah as well as Mark and Tina (grandma and grandpa).

We made it

Sorry all.. I have SOOOO MUCH to catch up on as far as blogging goes. I'm sitting in the clubhouse of our new apartment home (okay the apartment is actually FAR from being new) and I thought I would update quickly. We made it to Antioch, TN yesterday after spending all day Friday and the good part of the morning Saturday getting our house in Woodstock emptied cleaned. Definately not on our own though.. we had the help of a few AMAZING friends (I LOVE all of you guys!) that have supported us from the beginning. So a big shout out to the Wilhelm family and Mortimer family for getting us through all this and the other men that came out and helped us load and some of the sisters for helping us do some last minute cleaning.

Anyways- here we are. We are far from moved in!! But for the next yr, our apartment on Cedar Pointe Pkwy is now our home. We're just outside of Nashville and so close to the airport so PLEASE come visit!!!

Once we get internet set up in our apartment (one of the reasons I'm in here), I have a month or two of backstuff to post. Stay tuned!

Here it is... the cruise!

Sorry it has taken me so long. We have had SO MUCH going on with this move that I am finally going to sit down and share my pictures of our wonderful cruise to the Bahamas. As soon as we were done, we were ready to go again! The entertainment was awesome.. we saw a wonderful dancing/singing group, a comedian and a juggler. And the food.. OH THE FOOD!! Need I say more?!?!
Once again.. all about the pictures! Enjoy!

We just had a porthole but look at the beautiful view!!!
Saturday breakfast before getting ready to go out to Nassau

Okay actually before we docked, we decided to take a swim and lay out on the deck for a bit

There's nothing like a good chat and seeing this!!!

Our boat was the Monarch of the Seas

Right before our first venture out in the Bahamas.. excited no?

Jon in front of our boat

and us in front of the boat

This guy was cool carving stuff out of wood.. this was right in front of the INSANE straw market!

So we took a wrong turn.. not the best neighborhood

We took a cab and went over to the huge hotel/casino Atlantis

Beautiful!!! And not cheap!

I just took this because it shows how colorful this place is!

Apparently this was a "salon". The Bahama folk are pretty big on braiding hair and many called me a pretty lady.. right before I said no I don't want a braid. I was pretty no more:(

Our hanging monkey

This was on a boat leaving our ship to the island Cococay

Pretty stinkin big eh?

White sandy beaches.. absolutely perfect!!!

White boy catching some fun. Unfortunately he caught toooo much and suffered a 2nd degree burn.

A burn for me is inevitable... and of course I got a few more frekles. Mine were getting lonely

The water was so clear we could see all the fish we were swimming with! When we were out pretty far, I could still look in Jons sunglasses and see my feet in the ocean!

This is our dining group for the trip. A pretty fun group if I do say so myself!!

And whatever this guy is with our tip information. Don't forget to tip!!!

Sorry it has taken me so long. We have had SO MUCH going on with this move that I am finally going to sit down and share my pictures of our wonderful cruise to the Bahamas. Once again.. all about the pictures!
